Among my polychrome Cluny creations, I present here a polychrome Cluny pattern that you can buy as a downloadable pattern.
This lace technique is a modern version of Cluny lace, which was made in center of France from the 17th to the 20th century using white linen threads.
In the 1980s, Mme Odette Arpin worked on this technique to create beautiful, colorful lace.
This technique is worked with two different types of silk, which gives this beautiful result. It’s a lace that requires a minimum of knowledge and a little practice with tallies, but with a little work, the result is spectacular.
This pattern, ASYMMETRIC, can be worked in many different ways. Here I propose a possibility that minimizes the number of bobbins to be used.
The material includes the pricking, a photo of the work done, a diagram with the direction of the work and a document with thread information.
